London Airbnb photographer. Over the last year (and a couple of months) I’ve photographed literally a couple of hundred properties for rentals on Airbnb and one of my favourite examples of a really awesome holiday home and also one of my favourite flats in one of my favourite cities, the city being Glasgow, is this one. Glasgow has a real mixture of old and new properties but while some Edinburgh flats can look really worn down almost every flat I’ve visited in Glasgow looks really new and modern inside.
Of all the kinds of properties I’ve photographed, there are two kinds that I really love, the first are Mews properties. I’ve yet to see one in Glasgow but there are loads in Edinburgh and I find these utterly charming. Mews properties are generally quite small but very very cute. The other kinds of properties of apartments I love are duplex apartments.
This property is a great example, you have the living and kitchen downstairs (although it is open plan) but you have massive windows that cover two floors and let in huge amounts of light. Again a lot of properties I photograph can be quite dark and old looking (which are still awesome) but this property on South Frederick Street, which literally smack bang middle of Glasgow (just off George Square) had huge amounts of light and so was a little difficult but an absolute pleasure to photograph. I’ll let the photos below speak for themselves but I love photographing properties in Glasgow and can’t wait for my next one (currently shooting up to 2 or 3 properties there a week).
