Shepherds Bush quirky house photographed by London property photographer BNB Media.
I absolutely love a quirky house, one with lots of character and great details, and this Shepherds Bush house is a perfect example of a home that gets me excited.
This job came around the last minute but I was booked to photograph this utterly delightful 3-bed, 3-floor house just outside of Shepherds Bush. The two main highlights for me are the ground floor kitchen and the really lovely garden with a garden house. The kitchen has a real retro feel and is unlike anything else I’ve seen in London.
Apparently, the owners bought the house ten years ago and the description I got from when it was bought, was the property was a “real shithole”, so the owners bought it, gutted it and built a delightful retro-looking but quite modern house.
Examples of modern meets retro are first and most obviously the kitchen with retro-looking cabinets but a modern oven and fridge. In contrast, the downstairs WC has an old-fashioned look but with modern fittings whilst the first-floor bath is modern throughout.
This is easily the cutest house I’ve seen so far in 2024 (writing this at the beginning of May) and I absolutely love it.
