Property Photography Glasgow
Property photography Glasgow. A couple weeks ago I headed over to Glasgow to photographed a property for Made.com. If you follow my blog you’ll see that I did a couple shoots for them earlier this year and they were really great fun. Made.com if you haven’t heard of them before sell bespoke furniture for a fraction of the cost of “designer” furniture that you order online and it arrives at your home x-amount of time later. At first I thought they might be an Ikea clone but their furniture, from what I’ve seen at the few properties I’ve visited, seems a whole step better made/looking etc.
But what Made do that I think is really great, and this is where I come in, they do something called Unboxed. Instead of just showing a picture of a chair/couch/bed/wardrobe or whatever online, they like people to take photos of their products in people’s homes to show what their products actually look like in a real property. Brilliant. I did one shoot for them in 2015 and three this year and while I think the vast majority of their shoots happen down south (London?) it does seem to be getting more popular up here as well.
On the day I had the worst weather possible for doing a property shoot, it was blazing sunshine and mid 20 degree celsius (hot for Scotland!) so that made the photos challenging but this wasn’t really a problem. The property was really lovely, quite minimalistic compared to the other Made specific properties I’ve been to but really nice. I also love popping over to Glasgow whenever I get a chance.
I’ve mentioned before that Glasgow feels like a proper city whereas Edinburgh feels like a tourist town. If not for commitments in Edinburgh I’d happily move over there.
So below are a few of the photos I took. Not too many but enough.
