FAQs
Why do I need a Matterport tour?
Matterport tours are one of the most immersive ways to visualise a property. For real estate, Matterport tours provide an interactive way of viewing a property without seeing it in person.
For commercial spaces, they provide a fantastic model for visualising a build space.
What camera do you use?
We use a Matterport Pro 2 (MC250) camera. This is their industry standard camera that produces 134mp scans with fantastic detail.
How long do Matterport tours take to capture?
This depends on how easy a space is to capture and how large the space is. When capturing Matterport scans, the camera needs to see from point to point and each point needs to be captured within just a few feet of a previous scan, so there are no overlap issues.
We have captured 1000 sq ft scans in less than an hour and quite complicated 4000 sq ft spaces in 2.5-3 hours.
How much do Matterport tours cost?
We calculate charges by a combination of square footage and location. If you need a 1000 sq ft tour in southwest London there's a cost for this, but if you want us to do a 4000+ sq ft tour in Manchester, there has to be another charge. Below are base costs for residential and commercial spaces.
Matterport Residential
Up to 1000 sq ft - £170
Up to 2000 sq ft - £270
Up to 3000 sq ft - £370
Up to 4000 sq ft - £450
Up to 5000 sq ft - £550
Matterport Commercial
Up to 1000 sq ft - £700
Up to 2000 sq ft - £1100
Up to 3000 sq ft - £1500
Up to 4000 sq ft - £2000
Up to 5000 sq ft - £2500
What file types can you provide?
Matterport camera allow a number of different files types including OBJ (3D mesh), E57 (point cloud), JPG (textures and snapshots), JSON (metadata), PDF/PNG (floor plans), and DWG/DXF (CAD files). All have their own purposes and most cost extra (we only charge the actual cost of producing these; we don't make any profit off of these).
How are Matterport tours delivered?
Matterport scans are entirely hosted by Matterport themselves (hence a large part of the cost). For the majority of scans we provide links for viewing and links for embedding onto websites.
Example Matterport tours

A real favourite property. Captured for a short-term let management company. Multiple floors and super colourful
I regularly photograph properties in White City, Shepherds Bush. Quite a small apartment but a really good example of a nicely staged apartment.
A very good example of a really large six bedroom house with an annex scanned. Close to 3000 sq ft. Captured in Maidenhead for virtual model purpose.

Stunning upper floor flat overlooking the Powerhouse at Chelsea Harbour. Annoyingly captured on a miserable weather day but a great space to scan.
This tricky Matterport tour was scanned in Redcliffe Gardens in Chelsea. Quite tricky due to the narrow staircase but works great.
