I’ve written so many times about how much I love a good mews style property and this was a particularly interesting one. This is located in Lancaster Gate, one of London’s poshest parts, and sits alongside Hyde Park, roughly halfway between Notting Hill and Mayfair.
To give you an idea about the area, I recently photographed a two-bedroom flat in Lancaster Gate that was valued in the range of £8.5 million for a less than 2000 sq ft space. This is massively more expensive than many of the areas I normally cover but very common for this area.
The property itself. Three bedrooms and split over two floors. The general decor is quite old-fashioned (but really cool) but there is a really modern kitchen and modern stairwell as well as a garage. Some rooms have skylights, the master bathroom is outstanding and overall this is a really fantastic property. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many mews-style properties in Edinburgh and other parts of London and this is easily one of the most charming.
