Airbnb London photographer. I really like Glasgow, I think it’s a really great city and a much better city for locals, at least in terms of shopping and food than Edinburgh, and every time I go there nowadays I always come away really impressed with something. The last time I was over in Glasgow I went to Babs restaurant which serves easily the best kebabs I’ve tried in the UK and this time I went over to photograph a property for a gentleman who wanted to rent part of his property out to Airbnb.
We initially discussed photographing just the basement of his property at Grosvenor Crescent, which I knew anyway was a really nice area with really great properties but then we discussed photographing his whole home which is a whole townhouse.
The owner, Patrick, worked in finance but as many do nowadays, I believe he got sick of his daily multiple-hour commute into London so moved up here, bought a really stunning property, and refurbished it. At one point part, or the whole property, was a dentist practice, but he beautifully converted it into a really lovely and very modern home complete with a basement flat which is both cosy and practical.
Technology things that impressed me were an app that can control the lighting throughout and he also had a Sonos system which sounded great. All in all a really lovely property in a great location. Grosvenor Crescent sits just a stone’s throw from the botanical gardens and it sits at the top of Byres Road which has some of the tastiest eateries in Glasgow. I would personally love and hate to live in his location as Old Salty’s chip shop is just around the corner (bloody good) and then you have eateries like the Hanoi Bike Shop which my wife and I absolutely love.
In total, I took just under 100 photos of his property which came from his being so large and so photogenic, and again every time I go to Glasgow I’m impressed by something. Patrick thought momentarily about moving to Edinburgh before moving to Glasgow and I said and still think to this day, that if I knew what I know about Glasgow now before moving up to Scotland I would have moved to Glasgow and not Edinburgh.
As mentioned this was photographed in Glasgow but I have now moved to London. if you’re looking for an Airbnb London photographer, whether it be for photos, videos, floor plans, drone shots, VR tours, or a combination of some or all, please contact me here.
