Brick Lane Airbnb.
One of my favourite things about London is all the amazing markets scattered throughout the city. My wife is a freelance illustrator and as well as creating illustrators for clients (things like children’s books), she also creates and we make a lot of products that she sells online and we sell together at markets.
Selling at markets is mega fun and 2023 was our first year of really doing markets between June and December, we did 28 markets with very good revenues. One of the markets we applied for in the beginning was Brick Lane but sadly this was rejected as her style doesn’t match their requirements (it’s a very hipster/conceptual area which both she and her work aren’t), so we’ve never had a chance to visit Brick Lane.
I was hired by a property management company to photograph this Brick Lane property and despite the weather being shit on the day (dark and chucking down with rain), I did have a quick look around and the area looks cool. This coming year, if and when we have time we’ll investigate Brick Lane a bit more.
But back to this Brick lane, it’s a three-floor townhouse located right along Brick Lane. From the outside you can tell it’s fairly modern but inside it’s really quite spectacular for the given side. The ground floor has a bathroom and large kitchen, the first a reception room, some office space, and a mezzanine overlooking the kitchen. The second floor has two large bedrooms and another bathroom. The whole flat is very modern with tons of natural light coming through the second-floor skylights. There’s a brilliant olive tree in the reception, and the whole property has loads of style and colour.
I haven’t been to any other Brick Lane Airbnb properties, but this property is absolutely fantastic.
